FlipTrack
PROGamma & Exposure · WebSocket Streaming · Pro Tier
Overview
FlipTrack is the Gamma Flip Timeline — it detects all gamma zero-crossings (flip zones) from the live WebSocket feed and plots them on a scatter chart. Each point represents a flip with its strike on the x-axis and its magnitude on the y-axis, giving you a map of where and how strongly gamma transitions occur across the chain.
It also tracks the nearest flip to the current spot price — the most immediately relevant regime boundary — and displays the total flip count.
Key Features
- Scatter plot visualization: Every detected gamma flip renders as a point (radius 6) on a strike × magnitude scatter chart. Cluster density reveals how fragmented the gamma landscape is.
- Nearest Flip detection: Identifies the flip zone closest to the current spot price by minimizing |flip.strike − spotPrice|. This is the most actionable flip — the regime boundary you're nearest to crossing.
- Total Flips count: Displays how many gamma zero-crossings exist in the current chain. More flips = more fragmented gamma — expect choppy, indecisive price action.
- Real-time streaming: WebSocket feed updates flip detection with every tick. Flips can appear or disappear as positioning changes intraday.
- Guide Panel: Four-section overlay — What are Gamma Flips, Key Metrics, Trading Signals, and Pro Tips.
- AI-Generated Considerations: ML-powered analytical considerations factoring in flip count, nearest flip distance, and flip magnitudes — delivered for your independent evaluation. Methodology →
Metrics Reference
| Metric | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| Total Flips | Number of gamma zero-crossings in the chain. 1–2 flips = clear regime. 5+ flips = fragmented, indecisive gamma landscape. |
| Nearest Flip | The flip zone strike closest to spot. Near proximity (< 2 strikes) = high probability of regime transition. |
| Scatter points | Each point's y-value represents the magnitude of the flip (how large the gamma swing is at that crossing). Higher = more significant transition. |
Use Cases
- Regime fragmentation detection: Many flips clustered near spot = chaotic gamma environment. Reduce position sizes and avoid directional bets — favor delta-neutral strategies.
- Upcoming transition alert: When the nearest flip is within 1–2 strikes of spot, you're about to cross a regime boundary. Prepare for a volatility regime change.
- Clean gamma identification: A single flip far from spot means the current gamma regime is well-defined. Trade with higher conviction in the current regime's character (mean-revert if positive, trend-follow if negative).
How to Launch
Open the Window Launcher — click + or press L.
Search for FlipTrack or browse Gamma & Exposure.
Click to launch and enter a ticker. WebSocket connects and flips begin populating.
The scatter chart shows all detected flips. Check the Nearest Flip and Total Flips metrics for a quick read on gamma regime quality.
