Overview

FlowRate is the Dealer Flow Velocity monitor — it classifies the live gamma data into a directional signal (Bullish, Bearish, or Neutral), a magnitude reading, and a flow type descriptor. These three metrics give you an instant read on which direction dealer hedging activity is pushing the underlying and how strongly.

FlowRate derives its signal from the sign and magnitude of net GEX across all strikes, streamed via WebSocket for real-time updates.

Key Features

Metrics Reference

MetricInterpretation
Bullish DirectionNet positive GEX — dealers are net long gamma. Their hedging activity supports price (buying dips) and dampens selloffs.
Bearish DirectionNet negative GEX — dealers amplify moves. Their hedging sells into weakness and buys into strength.
Magnitude (M)The dollar magnitude of net dealer flow in millions. Larger = stronger directional pressure.
Flow TypeDescriptive classification of the current flow regime — e.g., stabilizing (positive gamma, low magnitude), volatile (negative gamma, high magnitude).

Use Cases

How to Launch

Search for FlowRate or browse Open Interest & Flow.

3

Click to launch and enter a ticker. WebSocket connects automatically.

4

The three metric cards (Direction, Magnitude, Flow Type) update in real-time. Watch for Direction changes as key signals.
