Chart Wall

This screen draws several full price charts at once, each on its own name, sharing one toolbar. It is one of the chart screens in RingMaster, the product Ohey Inc publishes.
At a glance
- What you see. A grid of full charts. Each tile carries its own ticker. None of them is a small preview: every tile has the full chart type and indicator library behind it.
- The shared toolbar. One set of controls above the grid: chart type, range, bar frequency and indicators. Change one and every tile changes with it.
- Each tile's own name. Type a ticker into a tile to change just that one name. The toolbar still applies to it the same as every other tile.
- Synced by default. Every tile opens in its own sync group, so panning or zooming one moves the visible dates on the rest.
- Zoom and pan. The same gestures as Price Chart: scroll to zoom, drag to pan, and hold shift and drag to box a stretch of time.
- The grid layout. Pick how many rows and columns from the layout control. More tiles means a smaller chart in each.
- What it will not do. No tile draws a line, a shape or a level of its own. Nothing here says where a price goes next.
- Key difference. Chart Wall is a handful of full charts, every control shared, moved together. Chart Grid is many small previews from one list, held apart.
Why a wall and not just several Price Charts
Opening several Price Chart screens works, but each one is set up on its own: its own type, its own range, its own indicators. Chart Wall keeps that setup in one place. Pick candlesticks and a 20 bar average once, and every tile carries them. The names still differ from tile to tile; the settings do not.
The shared toolbar
The toolbar sits above the grid and reaches every tile at once:
- Chart type. Candlestick, bar, line, Heikin Ashi, Renko, Kagi and the rest of the type list from Price Chart.
- Range and frequency. Five days out to five years, folded to daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly bars.
- Indicators. Any overlay or sub-pane from the library. Turned on here, it draws on every tile.
A tile's own ticker is the one setting the toolbar does not touch.
The grid and its tiles
The layout control sets how many rows and columns the wall carries. A larger grid fits more names on screen, each drawn smaller. Click a tile's ticker box and type a new name to change only that tile.
A tile with no prices on file, or a name the feed does not carry, shows a plain sentence in its place. It is never left blank.
Sync groups
Every tile in the wall starts a member of the wall's own sync group. Members of a group share the visible dates and the crosshair, so scrolling or zooming one tile moves the rest together, trading day for trading day. A tile can leave the group from its own controls and browse its own dates. It can also join a different group shared with a chart open elsewhere on the desk.

On a phone, the wall is a grid of small charts, two across by default. The control above the grid sets one, two or three columns. The toolbar's chart type, frequency and range reach every tile. Tap a tile to open that name as a full chart, then swipe to move along the wall. Touch and hold a tile to open its stock sheet or take it off the wall. Quick sets fill the phone's wall from your watchlist, the Trade Cards names, the four index funds or the eleven sector funds.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from Chart Grid? Chart Grid draws small preview charts for a whole list, your watchlist, tonight's book or a sector, in alphabetical order, with a fixed look. Chart Wall draws a handful of full charts you pick by hand, with the entire type and indicator library behind each one.
Can each tile show a different chart type? No. The toolbar is shared on purpose, so a grid built to compare names compares them drawn the same way. Open a separate Price Chart screen for a tile that needs its own type or indicators.
Why did every tile just jump to a new range? Two or more tiles are in the same sync group. Moving one moves every member of that group. Leave the group on the tile you want to hold still.
