Market Map
Last updated 2026-09-24
This screen draws the market as tiles. It is one of the chart screens in RingMaster, the product Ohey Inc publishes. Everything on it is what the market printed: prices, option prices and option volume. None of it is model output, so it is live on every plan.
At a glance
- What a tile is. One company. Tiles sit together by sector.
- Size. By default, the option contracts the company traded tonight. The buttons switch it to market cap, what the company is worth at the last close.
- Colour. By default, the price change over the last trading day. Green rose, red fell. The legend under the map prints the scale.
- Other colours. The price change over 5 or 21 trading days, IV rank, or tonight's options volume against the company's own average.
- IV rank. Where tonight's option prices sit against the company's own year. Warm is rich, cool is cheap.
- Options vs average. Warm means the options traded more than usual tonight. Cool means less.
- Hover a tile for its figures. Click it to switch the desk to that name.
- Key difference. Size is how much traded or what the company is worth. Colour is how the price moved or how the options are priced. Neither is a ranking by us.
What it shows
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Size | Options volume, the contracts traded tonight, or market cap. |
| Colour | 1 day, 5 days or 21 days of price change, IV rank, or options volume against its own average. |
| Scope | Covered names, tonight's list of about a thousand. Largest 500 by market cap. Every name held. |
A company with no figure for the chosen size has no tile. The line above the map counts them. It also names the price date and the options date.
Reading the colour
- Price change. Green rose and red fell. Full colour means a move past the end of the printed scale: 3 percent for 1 day, 6 for 5 days, 12 for 21 days.
- IV rank. One ramp from cool to warm, 0 to 100. It has no direction, so it never uses green or red.
- Options vs average. One ramp from a quarter of the usual volume, cool, to four times it, warm. Key difference. Green and red always mean a price moved. The cool to warm ramp always means a size.
The hover card
Name, sector and industry come first. Then options volume, the same against its own average, and IV rank. Then the price change over 1, 5 and 21 trading days. Last come market cap, last close and P/E. A dash is a figure that could not be computed.
What the map is not
It is not the model's view. The model's signals, ranks and measured edge for the same names are on the Market Scan, the Star Field and Sector Split. A big tile is a busy options market and nothing more.
Frequently asked questions
Why are some large companies missing? With options volume as the size, a company whose options did not trade tonight, or that has no listed options, has no tile. Switch the size to market cap to see it. Why do the price date and the options date differ? Prices and option chains are captured on their own schedules. Both dates are printed so neither is mistaken for the other. Why is a tile grey? There is no figure for the chosen colour, or the price did not move.
