Rank by Timeframe
Last updated 2026-09-24
One stock, one line per time frame, from its rank on an earlier trading day on the left to tonight's rank on the right. It follows the linked name.
At a glance
- The scale. Rank from 0 to 100, with 100 the top of the ranking. It is a place in a sorted list, never a price.
- The signal zones. Shaded at the top and bottom 5 for 45 trading days, and ruled at the top and bottom 2 for 20 trading days. A line that ends in a zone is a rank that clears the signal band.
- The quieter line. The 10 trading day rank. It failed its own holdout, so it is shown for context only.
- Compare against. The prior trading day, 5 back, 10 back, or the first trading day on record.
- The table. The same figures in rows, with the change.
- Key difference. This pane shows how far each rank moved between two trading days. Timeframe Agreement shows, day by day, whether the ranks sat on the same side.
What it shows
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Each line | One time frame. The left end is the earlier trading day, the right end tonight. |
| The figures | The rank at each end, and the change beside tonight's. |
| The shaded ends | The 45 trading day signal zones. |
| The ruled lines | The 20 trading day signal zones. |
| The strip | The signal on each trading day on record, and how long it has held. |
A line from 66 to 95 is a rank that jumped 29 places into the 45 trading day zone. Whether it becomes a signal also needs realised volatility over 25 percent, which the Watchlist card states.
Reading it well
- Start with the prior trading day. It shows what moved overnight.
- Switch to 5 or 10 trading days. It shows whether tonight's rank is new or has been building.
- Weigh the 45 and 20 day lines. They are the two the desk's rule reads.
Frequently asked questions
Where did the swing band go? The band was drawn from a steadiness figure that was never checked against what happened next. The two ends of each line now say how far the rank moved. Why is the 10 day line quieter? The 10 trading day rank failed its own holdout, so it decides nothing. Is a higher line a higher price? No. It is a higher place in tonight's ranking.
